Tree Planting Incentive Program and Tree Planting

The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.

This program will be continued for this year, and thanks to the Middletown Rotary we are able to meet the budget of previous years. Trees will be subsidized on a first come, first served basis while remaining within budget constraints.

This has been an annual program and is administered through the following Middletown garden supply businesses;

          Moore Blooms, 577 Green End Ave.

Boulevard Nurseries, 1105 East Main Road

Chaves Gardens, 995 East Main Road

At these businesses, the Commission gives a $50 credit towards the purchase of a tree by a town resident.  The $50 is simply deducted from the price of the tree by the garden center. The tree must be planted in Middletown, and one tree per home owner, per year is permitted.

The budget for this program is generous but limited, and it will be terminated for the year when that budget is reached.

 Since its inception in 2009, the Commission has subsidized the planting of more than 900 trees.
